If it really is true that beauty can transform one’s soul, then I say your next stop should be Mallorca. Being the largest of the Balearic Islands in Spain and located in the Mediterranean, Mallorca boasts turquoise-blue water, soft golden sands, secret sparkling coves and lush greenery. The vistas alone are more than you could ever imagine. The island is beautifully adorned with tall dramatic cliffs, honeycomb colored stone villages, which are enveloped by majestic sunsets. Mallorca is truly something dreams are made of. But this Island is not only magnificent to look at, it is also a bustling metropolis filled with storied history, art and gastronomic fare. There are many top quality restaurants, several of which are Michelin rated. Some of our favorite restaurant picks are Simply Fosh, Restaurante Peix Vermell, Forn de Saint Joan and El Neo Gastro Bar. Our favored hotel is Cap Rocat, a former military fortress located in the most secluded area of the bay of Palma de Mallorca. The other hotel we suggest is Belmond La Residencia, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea in the small mountain village town of Deia.

The easiest and quickest way to get to Mallorca is to fly into Palma de Mallorca. Palma has wonderful architecture and many sites to see. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace and Plaza Mayor are some of Palma’s sites worth seeing. Once you are in Mallorca they have some of the best beaches, filled with sandy little coves that are ideal for sailing and snorkeling. Most of the beaches have beach clubs with chairs, umbrellas, shops and cafes. The big activity in Mallorca is sailing. The island is host to several international Regattas each year and there are a myriad of yacht charter companies to take you around the island or to near by islands such as Ibiza! Not to mention, this grand islet possesses 300 days of sunshine a year, with hot summers and mild winters. So if summer is your favorite season you can indulge anytime of the year!
